The Vree was a race in the science fiction saga Babylon 5. The Vree were one of the first races that made contact with humanity. The Vree had visited Earth fairly regularly since the 1950s. They had decided not to make formal contact, but to simply observe the humans for a time. The Vree had kidnapped humans from time to time to do further studies on them.
By the mid-22nd century, descendants of those kidnapped were finally able to prove that their ancestors had been abducted by aliens as they had claimed. The descendants found the proof in the Vree's archives. These descendants then filed suit against the Vree because of the kidnappings. The Vree decided to pay damages in order to maintain friendly relations with the humans.
Vree look much like the aliens reported by some people connected to the Roswell alien sightings of the late 1940s. They have enlarged heads with large black eyes, a small nose, and a small thin mouth. Many Vree wear suits that are silver in appearance.
Vree space vessels look very much like the flying saucers from 1950s science fiction stories.
