VIZ Media is a new Japanese anime and entertainment company formed by the merger of VIZ, LLC and ShoPro Entertainment. It started operations on April 4th, 2005. Viz Media is owned 40% by Shogakukan Inc. and Shueisha Inc and 20% by Shogakukan Production Co., Ltd.
