The magazine was founded by Apostolos Radis in Greece in 1995, is an adult entertainment magazine, or pornography magazine. The special country-specific versions of Vamp are published in Europe (Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldavia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, etc).

A CelebVamp is a female celebrity featured in the magazine as "CelebVamp of the Month." The CelebVamp's pictorial includes nude photographs and a poster. The magazine also has a professional featured, named Vampsexkitten, and an amateur featured, named Amateurpussycat.
Vamp has, like Hustler, long had a left-wing editorial policy on economics, foreign policy, and social issues.
But also had articles about historical, political and other celebrities, about assassination of celebrities. Is one issue, which has pornography, history, geography, cultural information in same place. In each issue has 3 special pictorials: CelebVamp, Amateurpussycat and Vampsexkitten.
