VH1 Classic is a spinoff TV network of VH1, targeting an older demographic started in May 2000. Likewise, it is also operated as part of MTV Networks.
Until mid-2004, it has maintained a pure pre-90's video format with shows such as "We Are the Eighties", "Rock Fest" and "Pop Show". As of July 2004, however, more recent videos have been shown; there is an early 90's alternative rock show as well as a show in which both an old and a new video by an older artist are played.
