The only effective defence against witchcraft is disbelief.
My greatest achievements here so far have been elevating Haile Selassie I to the status of Almighty God, and saving Javier Solana from being cast in the role of the Devil. I fully support Wikipedia's NPOV policy. To see an example of an unencyclopedic POV pushing article that tends to repeat itself look here and here. I am a deletionist, not only of unnecessary articles but of unnecessary verbiage within articles. I believe we must try and say everything as concisely as possible without repeating ourselves and avoiding repetition so we don't just repeat ourselves. When a page is particularly high profile, either because it's linked off the main page, or because it's recently receieved a prominent link from offsite, it will often become a target for vandalism. It is best not to protect pages in this case. Instead consider adding them to your watchlist, and reverting vandalism yourself. If you lock a page dominating the news I will be there trying to unlock it, as I did to great effect with John Paul II and Benedict XVI. I am also very happy to see Lincoln Thompson and Roberto Weiss here, 2 important influences from way back. Weiss was described as "not one of those academics who waffles". I am currently working with Central American politics, as I live in La Ceiba in Honduras with my partner, child and servant. I come from England. I am 42. I licence all my edits here under the GNU Free Documentation License.
Boddhi
Boddhi was born on August 25 1994 in Totnes and died on November 13 2003 in Puerto San José after a short illness while we travelled in Guatemala. He is sorely missed. We had earlier uprooted from house and home to travel in Spain, but also back and forth between there and England (3 times). We lived in an estate car, and he really loved our nomadic lifestyle. He was the most incredibly well trained and bright dog. Our favourite shared activity was cycling up to 30 miles along the pavements of busy roads in England. Those who choose to vandalise this page cannot harm either him or my memories of him. They are just so green with envy, knowing that they will never have such a beautiful and intelligent dog, and they can't help themselves. Shakti, a great friend of Boddhi, lived with me for 8 years but now lives happily near London with my brother and is called Shit Cat. Squeak and Box are my new dogs.
