UDBA or Unutrašnja Državna Bezbednost (lit. "Internal State Security Bureau") was the secret police organization of the former Yugoslavia.
Forming one (the major) part of the Yugoslav intelligence services during 1946-1991 period, and being in charge (mainly) of internal security, while KOS or Kontra Obavetajna Sluba (lit. "Couter-Intelligence Service") of Yugoslav People's Army making the other, mainly external, arm.
