Transmitter Rennes-Thourie

The transmitter Rennes-Thourie is a facility for broadcasting on the mediumwave frequency 711 kHz with 300 kW near Rennes, France. It uses as aerial a 220 metre high guyed radio mast, which is insulated against ground. This mast was erected in 1982.

Until 1997 the facility had a second guyed mast with a height of 120 metres, which was also insulated against ground. This mast, which was built in 1948, was used as aerial for the frequency 1241 kHz.
