Tim Curry

Timothy James Curry (born April 19, 1946 in Cheshire, England) is a British actor and composer perhaps best known for his role as Dr. Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). He also had an earlier career as a rock musician. He studied Drama and English at Cambridge and at Birmingham. His list of roles is extremely extensive, in both TV and movies, live-action and voice-acting for animated features, and it is notable that he almost always plays a villain of one kind or another. Mr. Curry currently lives in Los Angeles with his dog, Frank.

• In 1990 he joined many other guests for Roger Waters' massive performance of The Wall in Berlin.

• Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island.
• Numerous computer games, both as an actor (using Full Motion Video) and just as a voiceover (as in two of the three Gabriel Knight games).
• Narrating most of the Harper audio book versions of A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket.
• King Arthur in Monty Python musical Spamalot (2004-2005)

Theatre parts at the Olivier Theatre (a part of the National Theatre in London):

• Mac the Knife in the "Threepenny Opera" and
• a part in the drama "Dalliance" (Liebelei) by Arthur Schnitzler; both in 1986.
