The Quest Season of Road Rules first aired on MTV in 2001. In the tenth edition of the popular reality series, six strangers were chosen to compete in challenges, while living in a Winnebago. In this particular season, the contestants drove their Winnebago to challenges in Morocco and Spain.
The six strangers were:
- Blair
- Ellen
- Jisela
- Adam
- Steve
- Sophia
This was the first season in which the Road Rules team had to vote out a contestant, as punishment for losing two consecutive challenges. Jisela was voted out and Katie took her place.
Plot
On one of the first challenges, Ellen, who had given off vibes to the other contestants that she was spoiled and prissy, was stoned by residents of Marrakech. Adam tried to tell Ellen that it was because she was wearing revealing clothing in an Islamic country, which led Ellen to reveal that she had been raped and hadn't fully come to terms with it.
After faltering in a mid-air challenge, Jisela had become apparent to the group as the weak link. Jisela froze during a rock-climbing challenge in southern Spain, and the other contestants were forced to vote her off. Katie, who was an alternate from the season's casting special, replaced Jisela and joined the group in Spain.
