The Greens (France)

Les verts (the Greens) is a Green Party in France.

In the 2002 presidential election, the Green Party candidate for President was Noël Mamère. He received 5.25% of the vote in the first round of voting.

Les Verts were in alliance with the French Socialist Party from 1997 to 2002.

René Dumont is considered to be the forefather of Les Verts.
