Books of Blood are a series of horror anthologies written by Clive Barker. There are currently six volumes in the series and include such tales as The Midnight Meat Train, Rawhead Rex, The Yattering and Jack, In the Hills, the Cities, and In the Flesh.
With the 1984 publication of the first volume, Barker became an overnight sensation and was hailed by Steven King as "the future of horror". The book won both the British and World Fantasy Awards.
