The Acid House is a 1994 novel by Irvine Welsh, later made into a film.
Of all his works, it features the most short stories, with each chapter (3-20 odd pages) featuring a new set of characters and scenarios.
The film centers around a case of domestic abuse (a soft touch) and two instances of acid use as life-changing events (the titular story and one I don't remember)
