Ted Tonks is a fictional character in the Harry Potter series. He is a muggle-born and married Andromeda Tonks. He is the father of Auror Nymphadora Tonks. Considering the prejudice of the Black family concerning muggles and muggle-borns, Andromeda's family was displeased and disgraced when she married him.
The name "Ted" may be short for "Theodore" or "Edward".
