Skid Row (band)

Skid Row was Gary Moore's first band. This band was heavily influenced by Peter Green, who actually spotted Gary playing the guitar and introduced him to a record company. The band was comprised of Gary Moore on guitar and vocals, Bruce "Brush" Shiels on Bass and Noel Bridgeman on drums. The band released only one album, "Skid Row", in 1970. They recorded more material, and a second LP, entitled "34 hours" -entitled so because it took them a mere 34 hours to record it- was scheduled, but Gary left to join Thin Lizzy and the album was not released. That album, and subsequently the rest of their recorded material was released in 1990 and '91, a time when Gary released his "Still Got The Blues" LP, which saw him return to the pure blues style he played in the early '70es, as opposed to the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal he played through the late '70es until 1990.
