Battle of Lwów

During its long and complicated history, the city of Lwów (Lviv, Leopolis, Lemberg) was the site of several major battles and sieges. Among the most notable were:

• Battle of Lwów (1649) - Lwów besieged by forces of Bohdan Chmielnicki
• Battle of Lwów (1655) - Lwów besieged by the forces of Sweden during The Deluge
• Battle of Lwów (1672) - Lwów besieged by the armies of sultan Mehmet IV
