Shawn Murphy (born July 27, 1951 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) is a Canadian politician.
Murphy is a current member of the Liberal Party of Canada in the Canadian House of Commons, representing the riding of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island since 2000. Murphy is a former lawyer. He is the current Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans with special emphasis on the Oceans Action Plan.
He was reelected in a landslide in the federal election of June 28th, 2004. His success was widely attributed to his personal popularity in Charlottetown, rather than the national popularity of the Liberal Party.
