Schweppes brand beverages, sold in the United States and Canada, include carbonated water and a variety of ginger ales. Its marketing campaign made heavy use of an onomatopoeia in their commercials:"Schhhhh.... Schweppes, after the sound of the gas escaping as you open the bottle".
