Rangantittu is a bird sanctuary off the Bangalore-Mysore highway, close to Srirangapatna. It is a breeding site for many bird species, including the Painted Stork, Open-billed Stork , Black-headed Ibis, River Tern , Great Stone Plover and Indian Shag. In addition to local species, various migratory birds also visit this place. Some crocodiles too are present in the waters here.
