RAF Linton-on-Ouse

RAF Linton-on-Ouse is a Royal Air Force station near York in Yorkshire, England. It is currently a major flying training centre, one of the RAF's busiest airfields. It has a satelite station at RAF Topcliffe.

RAF Linton-on-Ouse opened in 1937. It has been used as a Bomber, Transport and Fighter airfield. During World War II the Royal Canadian Air Force operated bombers from there. In 1957 it became a major training field, initially with the Jet Provost. No 1 Flying Training School operates Tucanos for providing basic flying instruction.

Also flying at Linton is No 642 Volunteer Gliding School , part of the Air Training Corps.
