Pulmonic egressive

In human speech, pulmonic egressive sounds are those in which the air current is created by the lungs exhaling and pushing air out through the thoat and nose and/or mouth. The majority of sounds in all languages are both pulmonic and egressive, but some language have pulmonic ingressive sounds (articulated while inhaling) or in which the air flow is velaric or glottalic .
