Pulmonic sounds

In human speech, pulmonic sounds are sounds in which the air stream originates in the lungs. The lungs push (or pull) air through the throat and nose and/or mouth. Most sounds in all languages are pulmonic, but some languages also have glottalic sounds and/or velaric sounds .
