Pechora (Печора) is a major river in European Russia (Komi Republic and Nenetsia). It is 1,809 km long.
The river rises in the Ural Mountains east of Ust-Ilyich and flows north through Troitsko-Pechorsk , Vuktyl , Pechora and Naryan-Mar before entering the Pechora Bay inlet of the Barents Sea at Nosovaya .
Pechora is also the name of a city in Komi Republic, situated on the Pechora river, near the northern Ural Mountains.
