Mueang Pattani is a city in the far south of Thailand, near the boundary to Malaysia. It is the capital of the Pattani province. The city has a population of 43,690 (2000 census), and is located at .
Historically Pattani used to be the capital of an independent Malay kingdom, the Pattani kingdom.
