Papamoa (population 11,949 — 2001 census) is situated in the Tauranga District of the sub-tropical Bay of Plenty region on the eastern coast of the North Island of New Zealand.
Papamoa has miles of white sandy beach stretching from Mount Maunganui to the Kaituna River. Papamoa is one of the fastest growing areas in New Zealand due to the increasing amount of retired persons, and the increase in popularity of coastal communities.
