Over the Top is a 1987 movie starring Sylvester Stallone as Lincoln Hawk, a trucker who knows how to arm wrestle. Hawk's ex-wife dies early in the movie, leaving behind their son, whose mind has been poisoned as to Hawk by Hawk's father-in-law. Hawk and his son travel across the country in Hawk's rig, and they both learn valuable lessons. The movie reaches its climax in Las Vegas, where Hawk narrowly avoids double-elimination to win an arm wrestling tournament and a brand new rig as a prize.
Over the Top is widely considered one of Stallone's finest movies, and many fans eagerly await its DVD release in the United States.
