Oslo Airport is located in Gardermoen in Ullensaker, Norway, 50 km north of Oslo, and is a modern, international airport with two runways. Its IATA Airport Code is OSL. It is a hub of Braathens and a focus city for Scandinavian Airlines System (Braathens is now part of the Norwegian part of Scandinavian Airlines System, together they form SAS Braathens)

In addition to the European route E6, the connection to Oslo is via a high speed train service (Flytoget) which requires just over 20 minutes for the journey to Oslo's central station (Oslo S).

Gardermoen was adopted from a WWII airfield. Gardermoen took over as the main Oslo airport on October 8 1998, when Fornebu airport was closed. The transfer happened overnight, and was a major operation.

Approx. 13 million passengers travel through Oslo Airport annually.
