Novi Zagreb (literally "New Zagreb") is the part of Zagreb that is located to the south of the Sava river.
It is mostly residential, consisting of blocks of flats and tower blocks that were built in the Communist era (1945-1990).
It is formed by two četvrts Novi Zagreb Istok (East) and Novi Zagreb Zapad
