Noboribetsu (登別市; -shi) is a city located in Iburi, Hokkaido, Japan. Noboribetsu is a part of the Shikotsu-Toya National Park. It is located SW of Sapporo, W of Tomakomai and NNE of Hakodate.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 54,039 and the density of 254.77 persons per km². The total area is 212.11 km².
Noboribetsu has a train station and is accessed by the expressway with one interchange and route 36 .
The city was founded on August 1, 1970 and has a hot-spring resort.
The mountains dominate the west and north while the plains dominate around 5 km within the coastline. Its main river is the Noboribetsu River .
