New York gubernatorial election, 2006

The New York gubernatorial election of 2006 will be a race for the Governor of New York. Whoever is elected on November 7, 2006 will serve between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2010 and will either run for re-election or retire in 2010. George Pataki, the three-term incumbent, has not announced whether he'll run for a fourth term, but polls show that if he runs, he would be heavily defeated.
