The Mudhol Hound is an Indian dog breed of the sight hound type. It is named after Mudhola in northern Karnataka. It is a well-known, common companion in India among police forces for its significant role in crime detection.

It is said that Raja Maloji Rao Ghorpade presented a pair of hound puppies to England's King George V. The breed then went on to become popular as Mudhol Hounds as they came from mudhol.
