The Sicilian Barony of Montagna di Marzo.
The ancient noble title of Montagna di Marzo was inherited into the Trigona family by Francesco Trigona, Baron di Montagna di Marzo, Vallegrande and Budunetto, who had held a number of Feudal titles. The Trigona family also held many high positions in the Sicilian and Two-Sicilies Kingdoms.
The title was inherited by Gerolama Trigona who married 1792 to Antonio Sceberras Testaferrata, (1756-1843), 13th Baron of Castel Cicciano Barone di Montagna di Marzo. His descendants also by marriage inherited the ancient Maltese title of Djar_il-Bniet e Buquana, though the direct line had died out in the earlier 1980's and was succeeded by the next of kin in the male line of the Sceberras-Trigona family.
