Marshal of Poland)
Marshal of Poland (Marszałek Polski) is the highest rank in the Polish Army. In the past it was granted to six officers. Currently there are no living Marshals in Poland since the title is granted only to military commanders who achieved victory during a war. However, lately a rank of generał was introduced and on August 15, 2002, was granted to Czesław Piątas, the Chief of General Staff of the Polish Army.
