Lughaid mac Loeguire, High King of Ireland, grandson of Niall Noigiallach (Niall of the Nine Hostages). Died ca. 507.
There are two accounts of his death. In one, Lugaid was killed by a flash of lighting at Achadh Farcha, on account of the insult which he had offered to Patrick. In a second, he was killed in the battle of of Ard Corann in 507.
