Lohne

The name Lohne can refer to three different places in Europe: two in Germany, and one in Norway.

Lohne, Vechta

Lohne is a town in north-western Germany with a population of approximately 25,000 inhabitants. It is situated in the Vechta district in western Lower Saxony. The city lies on the A1 freeway between Bremen and Osnabrück. As an industrial town in the Oldenburger Münsterland (cathedral country), Lohne is particularly well know for its plastic industry. The Lohne Museum of Industry opened in March 2000. A four turbine windfarm has been in operation in Lohne since October 2003.

Lohne, Isernhagen

Lohne is a very small town in Germany also in Lower Saxony in the disitrict Isernhagen near Hannover called Gartenstadt Lohne (because every House there has got a garden). It lies at the crossing of the A2 freeway and A7 freeway . It belongs to Neuwarmbüchen but it got it's own Name because it is one mile appart of Neuwarmbüchen.

Lohne, Vest-Agder

Lohne is a little place west in Søgne, Vest-Agder, Norway. It contains around 20 houses and farms. Lohne has its name from the river Lohne that runs through the local valley. Apart from agricultural areas, the rural district Lohne consists of forrests. The majority of the people living on Lohne, as the locals say, have the familyname Lohne.
