Lingen is the name of a town located in the southern part of the Emsland, Germany – being part of lower Saxony which directly borders Nordrhein-Westfalen to the south.
An estimated 50,000 inhabitants live in this place which was first mentioned in medieval times (around 900 A.D.).
More recently Lingen is well known for its nuclear industry (Power plants and nuclear fuels), but also for its beautiful nature alongside the river "Ems".
