John McKay (politician)

The Honourable John McKay (born March 21, 1948) is a lawyer and a Liberal Canadian politician. As of 2004 he is the Member of Parliament for the riding of Scarborough—Guildwood and parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Finance.

Born in Toronto, McKay has lived most of his life in Scarborough, Ontario. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto at Scarborough and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Queen’s University.

After practicing private law for a number of years, he was elected to represent Scarborough East in 1997 and reelected in 2000. He was elected to represent the riding of Scarborough—Guildwood in 2004.
