John Abraham (born December 17, 1973) is an Indian actor and model.
He was born in Mumbai on December 17th in 1973. His father is a Malayalee Christian (from Aluva, Kerala) and his mother is Parsi. His father was an Architect and his mother was a Basketball player and taught the sport in college. They eloped because of their different religions. Chaos was created within both their families. But all ended well when John was born. His only other sibling is his younger brother Alan. Currently dating Bipasha Basu.
Athletic and intelligent growing up, John had excellent grades and was captain and star player of his school and college soccer team. After he had done a MBA (Master of Business Administration) in marketing, Post-grad, he worked with Enterprises-Nexus as a media planner. He still played soccer. John was the captain of his management institute and his own city, Bombay's. soccer team. It was during this time John decided to give modeling a shot. In 1999, John with his well chiseled body and face won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest an extremely competitive and popular competition. After that he was sent to Singapore where he competed for The Gladrags Manhunt Contest World and came in second place which had never been done by an Indian before. Since then along with his Provogue ads his popularity has increased tremendously and he instantly became a supermodel. In 2003, John entered Bollywood with the controversial and successful movie Jism.
