Jet Set Radio Future

Jet Set Radio Future
Developer: Smilebit
Publisher: SEGA
Release date: February 28, 2002
Genre: Action
Game modes: Single player
ESRB rating: Everyone (E)
Platform: Microsoft Xbox
Media: Xbox DVD

Jet Set Radio Future, a video game developed by Smilebit (now part of Amusement Vision) and published by Sega, was released near the beginning of the Xbox's lifespan as a sequel to the groundbreaking Dreamcast game, Jet Set Radio (or Jet Grind Radio in the US).

It depicts a future Tokyo where freedom of expression is outlawed. You play a character in the GG's, a gang of rollerblading graffiti artists who skate around Tokyo covering up rival gangs' graffiti, knocking over Rokkaku police, and dancing to the eclectic soundtrack. The game is beautifully cel-shaded and has been highly acclaimed for its unique music stylings, detailed art, and fun gameplay. Considered a highly underrated classic, Jet Set Radio Future is one of the most creative and atmospheric to date.

After its poor initial selling, it was added (alongside Sega GT) onto a demo disc and given away with the purchase of an Xbox. These discs are no longer used in place of newer games to put with the system.
