Irregular Galaxy NGC 5195 (also known as M51 B or NGC 5195) is an irregular galaxy in the Canes Venatici constellation. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1781. NGC 5195 is sometimes considered as part of Messier Object 51 (the Whirlpool Galaxy) or simply as its companion.
