Ilyushin Il-14

The Ilyushin Il-14 (NATO reporting name Crate) was a Soviet commercial and military personnel/cargo transport aircraft that first flew in 1950.

Il-14 was a twin-engine commercial and military personnel/cargo transport. Progressive development of IL-12. It is powered by two 1900 hp Shvetsov ASh-82T-7 radial engines. The Il-14 was much refined, with a new wing and a more angular tailfin. Over 1000 were built, some sources claiming more than 3500. Reliable and widely used in rural areas with poor quality airfields.
