Often used to refer to the Hindustani language or classical music from northern part of India and Pakistan Hindustani classical music.
Hindustani is often also used when referring to someone belonging to the Indian race. (e.g. An Indian in the West Indies might describe his ethnicity by saying he is Hindustani.)
