Haystack Rock is a very popular Oregon Coast attraction located on Cannon Beach. According to the Cannon Beach Chamber of Commerce http://www.cannonbeach.org, it is 235 feet high. Haystack Rock is a protected marine wildlife sanctuary, and visitors are not allowed to climb it or collect sea life at its base. The city of Cannon Beach offers the Haystack Rock Awareness Program (HRAP), which can often be found on the beach during the summer offering educational programs to the public.
