Gray fox

(Redirected from Gray Fox)

The gray fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) is a species of fox distributed from southern Canada to Venezuela. It has a gray back, tawny sides, neck, and legs, a white belly, and a black stripe along its back and tail.

Gray foxes are forest dwellers, and together with the closely related island foxes they are the only canids able to climb trees. They hunt squirrels, mice, and birds, sometimes foraging for berries.
