Girl Power is a phrase most commonly associated with the British singing group the Spice Girls, conveying a positive image for women. Some groups consider it a form of misandry.
The phrase previously appeared prominently in the 1993 debut of Welsh indie band Helen Love , Formula One Racing Girls.
