Ganbare Goemon is a video game series published by Konami. Most of these games are platform games with adventure games elements, and sometimes role playing games elements.
The universe of these games is folk medieval Japan. The musics are often tracks played by traditional Japanese instruments over modern rythms. Humour and self-derision are very present elements of the series, being presented in the form of allusions to other video games, comic dialogues, unexpected mini-games, anachronisms and diversions of certain stereotypes of the video games such as the game over screen.
