The Franja de Ponent (Catalan for Western Strip) refers to four comarques in the east of the Autonomous Community of Aragon, which are historically and linguistically Catalan, in contrast to the Castillian- (and historically Aragonese-) speaking areas of western Aragon. They are counted as being part of the Catalan Countries (Països Catalans).
