Fort Folly

Fort Folly is the smallest Mi'kmaq community, population wise, located in New Brunswick, with a population of 105 registered, of these only 27 are living within, and 78 are living outside of the community. Presently the community is 406,000 square metres in size, and is located within 50 km of the nearest service centre to which it has year-round road access.

The community is located in the traditional territory of the people of Kwesawék Amlamkuk, which roughly translated from Mi'kmaq means "the delta where the multicoloured rivers meet". That description is based on the original location of the Fort Folly reserve at Beaumont on the Petitcodiac River.

The current Chief of Fort Folly First Nation is Chief Hughie Knockwood The Councillors of Fort Folly First Nation are Councillor Alvin Bernard and Councillor Rebecca Knockwood. Their terms expire in December of 2005.
