Eremon

In Irish mythology Eremon or Heremon was a son of Míl Espáine who participated in the Milesian conquest of Ireland, defeating the Tuatha Dé Danann at Tailtiu.

Once conquered the island was divided between Eremon and his brother Eber Finn, Eber taking the southern half and Eremon the north. Eber was unhappy with this division, feeling that his half was inferior, and went to war against his brother, but was defeated and killed. Eremon established his capital at Tara.

Eremon appointed kings of the four provinces. He gave Leinster to Crimthann Sciathbél of the Fir Domnann; [[Munster to the four sons of Eber Finn, Ir, Orba, Fearon and Ferga; Connacht to Ún and Étan , sons of Uicce; and Ulster to Eber mac Ír .

He was succeeded by his three sons, Muimne, Luigne and Laigne. A fourth son, Irial Fáith, also went on to be High King.
