Emperor Hui of Han (210 BC188 BC) was the second emperor of the Han Dynasty in China. He was the eldest son of the first Han emperor, Han Gaozu and Empress Dowager Lü. He was remembered as a weak character dominated by his mother, Empress Dowager Lü. He tried to protect Ruyi, Prince Yin of Zhao , his younger brother from being murdered by Empress Dowager Lü, but failed. After that he indulged himself in drinking and soon died. Empress Dowager Lü installed his two puppet infants, Shaodi Kong and Shaodi Hong, the sons of Hui's concubine after Hui died without a designated heir. Emperor Hui consort was Empress Zhang , a niece of his, They had at least one daughter who was murdered by Empress Dowager Lü.
