Emaar Properties is a Public Joint Stock Company listed on the Dubai Financial Market. Started in 1997, Emaar has grown to nearly $US 8 Billion in assets, with annual gross sales of over $US 1 Billion.
Emaar Properties is primarily a real estate development company focused entirely on projects in or near Dubai, UAE, including Burj Dubai, destined to be the world's tallest skyscraper and largest shopping center due for completion in 2008.
More recently, Emmar has diverged into both finance and information technology.
